When you feel lost or unhappy, remember this: your life gains meaning the moment you help ease someone else’s suffering. When you help others—even in small ways—you gain direction and meaning. Don’t wait to discover some grand destiny; start with the little things you can do today. ~

Speak truth, even if uncomfortable—it frees you and fosters genuine connections. Practice it daily for peace of mind, respect from others, and a life true to yourself.

Remember, what you give your time to becomes your life. Choose carefully—put family, health, and growth first, and let go of the rest. Align your days with what matters most, and you’ll build a life without regrets.

When you feel lost or unhappy, remember this: your life gains meaning the moment you help ease someone else’s suffering. As long as you can help others—even inin small ways—you are never without purpose. Don’t wait to discover some grand destiny; start with the little things you can do today.

I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach.” ~ Charles Dickens

Loyalty is not always a good thing. For example, being loyal to Hitler is a bad thing. Therfore, we should be loyal to good ideas, not to people. People can change, but being good stays the same, even if our understanding of it changes with time.

Anything that requires change can be difficult. Yet in order to learn and grow and make progress, you must change. When facing a change, ask yourself: Am I being openminded? Or am I being resistant? Confront your difficulties head-on, force yourself to explore where they come from, and you’ll find that you’ll learn a lot. #principleoftheday

For me, I’m driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You’d be surprised how far that gets you.” ~ Neil deGrasse Tyson

When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.” ~ Mark Twain

Quoted in various speeches

Twain used this humorous line to describe the shift from adolescent arrogance to adult humility — the realization that wisdom grows as ego shrinks.

“The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all others, charity.”

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was from a horse master. He told me to go slow to go fast. I think that applies to everything in life. We live as though there aren’t enough hours in the day but if we do each thing calmly and carefully we will get it done quicker and with much less stress. ~ Viggo Mortensen

Interview, 2004

Mortensen shared this wisdom while discussing filmmaking, explaining that patience and precision ultimately produce faster, stronger results.

A single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Journal, 1851

Thoreau used this analogy to explain habit formation: repetition carves identity, just as footsteps carve a trail.

~ Marcus Aurelius

Meditations, Book 7

Aurelius reminded himself — and us — that accepting help is not weakness but a practical necessity for completing one’s mission.

Never make a decision from a state of fatigue, panic, or external pressure. Step away, find silence, and allow clarity to surface before you commit to something” ~ Katharine Hepburn

Treat every commitment, no matter how small, as a sacred contract. Your word defines your character. Follow through on what you promise, both to others and to yourself. Consistency builds unshakeable self-trust.

Protect your energy fiercely from those who drain it. Negative people act as heavy anchors on your potential and progress. Limit your exposure to pessimism. Your time is too valuable to spend it validating the endless complaints of others.

Never avoid the difficult, necessary conversations. Honest communication clears the air and instantly builds lasting trust in relationships. A painful truth delivered today prevents damaging confusion tomorrow.

Don’t fear the pain of hard, accurate truth. It is the most vital signal for required change and evolution. Seek critical feedback above all comfort. This practice will exponentially accelerate your growth.

You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” ~ Zig Ziglar

From his 1970s motivational lectures. Ziglar repeated this endlessly because audiences were paralyzed by perfectionism — he wanted them to understand that greatness is the result of beginning, not the prerequisite.

Resentment is a debt you willingly pay for someone else’s mistake. Forgiveness is an act of self-liberation, not a gift to the offender.

Don’t get comfortable with what you think you know. True wisdom is accepting that learning has no end. Stay open to new facts and different views. You must always remain a student to truly grow.

Treat every mistake as a lesson. A setback is data given to you free of charge. Accept the lesson immediately and move on. You only become stronger when you are willing to admit error.

Never change who you are to fit in or be accepted. Your power lies in your unedited truth. And that’s what the world needs more of, not more conformity.

True wisdom requires you to stay small and hungry for knowledge. Remain a perpetual, disciplined student of the world.

Regret is the ultimate thief of joy. The past cannot be changed;. Honor the gift of the present moment by using it fully. Live today with such intensity that you leave no room for future sorrow.

The fool waits for opportunity; the wise create it.” ~ Francis Bacon

From “Essays,” 1625

Kael wrote this to explain creativity itself — the pathway only appears after you begin, never before.

You’ll never find the time. You must make it.” ~ Charles Buxton

Published in “Notes of Thought,” 1883

Buxton learned this running both a public career and a brewery; he wrote it to expose the myth that life ever offers spare time for important beginnings.

Commit to deep listening in every conversation you enter. Do not simply wait for your turn to speak. Give your entire, present attention to the other person. Genuine human connection begins in silence and active presence.

every person you encounter is fighting an intricate, unseen battle. You have no way of knowing the weight they carry, so relinquish the urge to judge their journey or their pace. A gentle heart, unbound by quick and facile judgments, is the most powerful weapon against the world’s harshness.

The universe holds an astonishing capacity for mystery, and humility is the only reasonable response to its scale. The moment you believe you have mastered something, the world shows you how much more there is to learn.

The antidote to cynicism is simply noticing the small, perfect miracles unfolding around us. Gratitude is not passive; it is an active discipline of choosing to see the treasure in the mundane. Carry a deep appreciation for your gifts, and a positive attitude becomes the natural flow.

if you want your kids to be kind, be kind. If you want them to work hard, show them how it’s done ~ Tom hanks

Everyone has weaknesses. They are generally revealed in the patterns of mistakes they make. Knowing what your weaknesses are and staring hard at them is the first step on the path to success. #principleoftheday

Most people give up after they’ve failed once or twice. That’s why most people aren’t successful. Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries.” ~ James A. Michener

Quoted in his memoir, The World Is My Home (1991)

Michener said this looking back on years of rejection before literary success, using his own story to show that talent matters far less than persistence.

If there’s something you’ve always wanted to do, write down the steps you need to take to make it happen. A goal without a plan is just a wish.” ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

From his 1942 memoir, Flight to Arras

A battle-tested pilot, he wrote this after seeing how survival in war depended not on hope but on meticulous preparation.

Action leads to learning, which makes you better. Don’t spend all your time thinking. Spend it doing. If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.” ~ Bruce Lee

From Lee’s personal notebooks, published posthumously

Lee wrote this while refining his Jeet Kune Do philosophy, frustrated by students who overexplained instead of practicing.

You’re not here to simply pass the time. You’re here to use it. To carve meaning out of the hours like they matter — because they do.

Everyone at some point wishes the world was a better place. You forget, the opportunity has always been here–it’s right here in front of you. It’s today. Every day is an opportunity to do something good.” ~ Paul Newman

If someone can prove me wrong and show me my mistake in any thought or action, I shall gladly change. I seek the truth, which never harmed anyone: the harm is to persist in one’s own self-deception and ignorance. Marcus Aurelius

“You must never behave as if your life belongs to a man. Your life belongs to yourself and you alone.” ~ Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Build your life around what matters to you at the deepest level. Not around money, not status, not comparison. Around the principles and pursuits that make your life feel honest. When you do this, discipline becomes effortless because you’re living in alignment with your values and so, success and all those things will foillow. You don’t have to fight yourself every morning, because you’re no longer pushing against your own nature. You’re moving with it.

People often mistake motivation for inspiration. Motivation needs constant effort. Inspiration happens when your actions reflect your values. It fuels itself. You feel alive, engaged, capable. And that’s when real achievement becomes possible—not the forced kind, but the kind that grows naturally out of conviction.

Do what you feel in your heart to be right—for you’ll be criticized anyway.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

remember that in large part you create the happiness or unhappiness around you. Choose to be uplifting, kind and pleasant to the people around you. Choose to create the world you want.

When you’re humble, you don’t need to dominate a room to prove your worth. You don’t need to win every argument. You don’t need to be the smartest voice in the circle. You let truth lead instead of pride.

One day you’ll look back and see that the turning points were simple: the days you stopped delaying, stopped doubting, and finally acted on what you knew was right.

Most people underestimate the power of decisions. When you commit to what matters, life stops feeling like something happening to you and starts feeling like something you’re shaping. ~ Anthony Hopkins

Every day gives you a chance to steer your life one degree toward meaning or one degree toward distraction. One degree seems small — until the years pass.

If something is important, give it your attention while you still can. Don’t wait. What you do now becomes the story you live with for the rest of your life.

The shortness of life is the reason why you should not waste it in doing anything you know to be wrong.” ~ Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

Life simplifies itself the moment you stop feeding distractions. The world will try to pull you in every direction at once. Let most of it pass. Give your energy only to what strengthens your spirit.

There is great moral clarity in telling yourself the truth. It demands humility, but it also grants freedom. When you stop hiding from your own reflection, you step into a life that is far simpler, and far more honorable.

When you speak the truth, you clear the fog between you and the world. It takes courage, yes — but it leaves your conscience unburdened, and that is worth more than comfort.

There is wisdom in slowing down. The world will push you to rush, to react, to chase. But clarity arrives in stillness. If you wish to understand your path, pause long enough to see it.

Life teaches you, slowly and sometimes painfully, that you can’t carry everything. Some burdens must be put down. Some people must be released. And some chapters must be closed gently, without bitterness, so the next one can begin.

Kindness is not a transaction — it’s a reflection of who you are. And who you are is shaped by the choices you make when no one is watching.

Realise what you can control and release everything else. You can’t change other people. You can’t change the past. But you can change your attitude, your habits, your next step.

There’s great strength in admitting you don’t have all the answers. Certainty is overrated. Curiosity, humility, and presence will take you much farther than pride ever did ~ Anthony Hopkins

Every time your choices match your principles, you build a life that feels coherent — a life your future self can stand behind without apology.

Most regrets come from silence — the apology you didn’t give, the courage you didn’t use, the person you didn’t appreciate while they were still here. Living without regret means acting while the moment is alive, not after it’s gone.

When you give your attention to the moment in front of you, life stops feeling like something you’re chasing and starts feeling like something you’re living.

I’ve always felt there’s a quiet confidence in humility — the kind that doesn’t need validation. When you’re grounded in who you are, praise doesn’t inflate you and criticism doesn’t shatter you. I would recommend trying to stay level headed.

be open about what you don’t know, and be at peace with the fact that you’re a work in progress — just like everyone else.

Use your pain. Use your struggle.

Don’t let anyone else decide your future. And don’t leave it to chance. Decide what you want and prioritise your days around it.

A hundred scattered arrows miss the target. One steady, careful aim hits. To achieve anything worthwhile you must focus your attention. Don’t spread it. Focus your effort on completing one worthwhile goal.

One hour per day of study in your chosen field is all it takes. One hour per day of study will put you at the top of your field pwithin three years. Within five years you’ll be a national authority. In seven years, you can be one of the best people in the world at what you do.

Greatness rarely arrives suddenly. It’s built in the hidden hours of doing the same thing well, again and again.

A broken promise is remembered longer than a kept one. Your word is your bond — protect it.

Kindness isn’t weakness. To be kind in a world that mocks it requires a courage that makes most men look like cowards

guard your time as if it was gold. Feed your attention with positivity and wisdom, don’t poison it with negativity.

I used to complain that I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet.

The world doesn’t get better by chance. It gets better by choice. Every kind act

Your word is your reputation walking ahead of you.

Sometimes the right choice leaves you standing alone. Sometimes it costs you more than compromise. But it gives you something comfort never will. A clear conscience.

Freedom is just chaos, with better lighting. What keeps chaos from devouring us is the choice to live with integrity.” ~ Alan Rickman

I’ve wrestled with self-doubt all my life. The only thing that helped was work. Hard work drowns out the noise in your head.” ~ Philip Seymour Hoffman

When a leader gives a team instructions they create mindless robots and the team’s talents is wasted. But when a leader gives a team clear, calculated objectives and asks them to use their minds to figure out how to achieve their objectives, they empower the team to achieve greatness and they make their jobs challenging and fulfilling.

the people have made pop stars and movie stars their new kings and queens. They’re worshipped and glorified. But pop stars don’t cure cancer or stop wars. The people have chosen to worship entertainment while others die needlessly. It you can change this. Instead of idolising entertainers, start paying attention to the world’s problems. Celebrate and fund the people who are trying to save us.

Take work deadlines and requests very seriously. You are your word. The less you keep it the less people trust you. Keeping your word is more than just a selfish act, it’s the right, decent thing to do

imagine if social media algorithms were designed to show content that makes people happier and makes the world a better place instead of making profit. They could change the world. But profit is more important than the world and this is why we suffer.

Consistency is invisible at first. Then suddenly, it compounds. Small steps become giant leaps. If you can find the strength to keep doing what you need to do for years without any reward, one day those thousands of tiny acts of consistent effort will compound into something big. Keep going. Keep believing.

Scatter your effort and little happens. Aim it, and even small actions cut deep. Focus is force multiplied.

Critics will always critisize. Let them. Their words can sting, but they can also teach—if we listen without ego.

The loudest person in the room isn’t necessarily the one with the best answers. Make room for quiet people. The People who talk less, think more. Our businesses and government departments need thoughtful, intelligent solutions.

Dreams sound nice. Words sound nicer. But only deeds last. You are what you keep doing, not what you keep saying.

A team doesn’t fail from lack of talent; it fails from lack of spirit. Negativity spreads like fire. So does belief. Your attitude shifts the room more than your skills ever will.

A single push-up won’t change you. But a hundred days of them will. Greatness is small effort multiplied. Your daily habits are your destiny.

What looks like failure is often growth in disguise. Perseverance is what turns time into triumph.

It’s easy to say “they” cause the problems. It’s the system. It’s harder to admit we’re all part of the system too. Together, we are the system. But until you do, nothing changes. Personal Responsibility is the beginning of every solution.

Details are what separate the amateur from the professional. I’ve learned the hard way: people always notice the details.” ~ Edward Norton

“I think vulnerability is the most powerful thing we have. It’s the opposite of weakness — it’s how people see the real you.” ~ Florence Pugh

I think perfection is the enemy of humanity. We get so busy trying to appear flawless, we forget that human connection is in our flaws. When we’re honest to eachother and we’re not pretending to be more than we are, we can actually laugh at each other and not take ourselves so seriously.” ~ Shannen Doherty

The way to live a rich, full life is to keep pushing yourself past your comfort zone.

The more sand that has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it — for time rubs the illusions off the glass and leaves only truth behind.” ~ Jean-Paul Sartre

Stubbornness may feel like strength, but it locks the door to growth; while being humble expands your world by keeping you mind open.

You’ve got to learn to live with the mistakes you’ve made, and not let them keep you down. Regret is a prison — forgiveness is freedom.” ~ Johnny Cash

Resilience is the gift you earn from hardship.

Every time life knocks you down and you rise, you’re stronger than before.

Kindness plants seeds you may never see grow.

But the world is better for every one you scatter.

Gratitude reminds you that nothing is small when it’s not guaranteed.

A better world isn’t imagined, it’s lived into existence.

Every honest act, every kind gesture, every goodness creates a better world.

“Be original. Don’t be scared of being different — that’s what makes you interesting. ~ Christopher Walken

Be curious about those who see the world differently from you. Wisdom grows when we listen to people we disagree with — not just the ones we already understand.

Wise people don’t need to be the loudest — they listen, they learn, and they lift others up.

Ask for help when you need it. Wisdom isn’t pretending to know everything — it’s knowing when you don’t.

Learn to enjoy being wrong — it means you just got closer to the truth. Every correction is a gift if you’re wise enough to receive it.

Gratitude is a lens. Look through it, and the ordinary shines. Ignore it, and even blessings feel empty

Every master was once unsteady. Every champion began as a beginner. The secret isn’t talent. It’s refusing to quit when you’re stuck. It’s adapting. Failure is the secret to success.

You are what you do.
Not what you intend.
Not what you promise.
Not what you believe.
Only what you do.

Every breath is a gift.
Every sunrise.

The risk of chasing your dream is real.

But the cost of standing still? That’s guaranteed.

Every excuse you make pushes you further from who you are and who you could be.

Comfort feels safe, until you realize it’s keeping you stuck.

Growth has a price.
So does regret.

When you encourage someone, you remind them they’re not alone. And sometimes, that reminder is all they need to keep going.

I’ll always remember when I first started boxing we had to fight against two in training. The one person would end up just guarding after a while but I didn’t know that because I was new so I tried to win. I fought, trying to outpunch one and then the other until I collapsed. I looked up, gasping for air and saw the trainer point down at me and shout “YOU… have got the heart of a lion”. That has always stayed with me.

in life you have to make sacrifices. You might have to sacrifice sleep to work on your dreams. You might have to sacrifice your own well being for the well being of your family. You may have to sacrifice more. That’s life. You have to choose. Do you want what you have. Or do you want more. How much are you prepared to sacrifice?

Sometimes the hardest part of life is slowing down enough to notice the beauty in it. The world teaches you to hurry, but happiness only comes along when you take the time to enjoy whatever you have now ~ Grace Kelly

Johnny Cash
“You’ve got to learn to live with the mistakes you’ve made, and not let them keep you down. Regret is a prison — forgiveness is freedom.”

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. Complaining doesn’t solve anything — action does.” ~ Maya Angelou

Democracy flourishes when we talk, when we encourage ideas to come out into the open to be discussed and debated. Democracy falters when we supress free speech using fear, violence and humiliation.

A free and democratic society, which is what America is supposed to be about, depends upon the basic premise that people can speak out, organize and take part in public life without fear — without worrying that they might be killed, injured or humiliated for expressing their political views. In fact, that is the essence of what freedom is about and what democracy is about. You have a point of view, that’s great. I have a point of view that is different than yours, that’s great. Let’s argue it out. We make our case to the American people at the local, state and federal level, and we hold free elections in which the people decide what they want. That’s called freedom and democracy. And I want as many people as possible to participate in that process without fear.

Freedom and democracy is not about political violence. It is not about assassinating public officials. It is not about trying to intimidate people who speak out on an issue. Political violence, in fact, is political cowardice. It means that you cannot convince people of the correctness of your ideas, and you have to impose them through force. Every American, no matter what one’s political point of view may be, must condemn all forms of political violence and all forms of intimidation. We must welcome and respect dissenting points of view. That’s what our Constitution is about. That’s what our Bill of Rights is about. That, in fact, is what freedom is about.

The murder of Charlie Kirk is part of a disturbing rise in political violence that threatens to hollow out public life and make people afraid of participating. From the January 6, 2021, attack on the United States Capitol, to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, to the attack on Paul Pelosi, to the attempted kidnapping of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, to the murder of Minnesota Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman and her husband, to the arson attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, to the shooting of UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson and the shooting several years ago of Rep. Steve Scalise, this chilling rise in violence has targeted public figures across the political spectrum.

Sadly, this is not a new phenomenon. We all remember the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Senator Robert F. Kennedy, John Lennon, Medgar Evers and the attempted assassinations of President Ronald Reagan and Alabama Governor George Wallace.

This is a difficult and contentious moment in American history. Democracy in our country and throughout the world is under attack. And there are a lot of reasons for that, which need serious discussion. But, bottom line: If we honestly believe in democracy, if we believe in freedom, all of us must be loud and clear. Political violence, regardless of ideology, is not the answer and must be condemned.”

if you believe assassinating someone who has intellectual discussions in campuses is not only justice but something to be celebrated, somewhere along the line your moral compass has been skewed by extreme hatred that will manifest in more horrifying ways.

A kind, encouraging word might be the one thing that lifts someone’s whole day. And when you give kindness, you carry it too and it makes the world lighter for you and everyone around you.

“You’ve got to know when to hold on and when to let go. Some things aren’t meant to stay, and the sooner you accept that, the freer you become.” ~ Johnny Cash

When I was five, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said, ‘happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” ~ John Lennon

“The greatest challenge of our time is to bring about a revolution of the heart, a revolution that starts with kindness, humility, and love, because true change is born in the soul before it reaches the street.”

Even when life is hard there are still so many reason to be grateful. The song of a bird outside the window. A funny cat. Your favorite TV show. A tasty biscuit. Even the smallest good things are worth celebrating.

You don’t need to do everything today. Just one small win. One tiny step toward your goal. Consistent small steps

You are not your failures. You are not your doubts. You are what you choose to do next.

You are not defined by mistakes. Not by setbacks. Not by what people doubted. You’re defined by the fact that you keep getting back up. You’re defined by what you choose to do today.

Being positive doesn’t mean denying the bad in the world — it means you choose to be someone who makes the day better for the people around you, to make things a bit easier. Every time you confront something painful, you are at a potentially important juncture in your life—you have the opportunity to choose healthy and painful truth or unhealthy but comfortable delusion. The irony is that if you choose the healthy route, the pain will soon turn into pleasure. The pain is the signal!

Until we start treating our fellow citizens with respect—even if they have different political views—we can’t talk together like mature adults and try to find a compromise between our values so we can move forward united. We’re only hurting ourselves.

the greatest threat to our existence is emerging: artificial general superiority intelligence. Either the US or China will likely develop this technology and Whichever country holds it will have unimaginable economic and military advantage. They will make the other side look like they’re in the Stone Age. We need to stop squabbling amongst ourselves and unite as one team, before it’s too late. Encourage and help your fellow people, don’t put them down. We have to start to work together, before it’s too late.

When you slow down and focus on one thing at a time, you get more done and you feel better about what you’re doing. Single-task attention turns into real completion.

If you know that what you do each day is making the world a better place—even just a little—you should feel satisfied. You’re doing a great thing. Don’t worry about comparing yourself to anyone else. Just keep doing what you’re doing.

    ~ Paul Newman

Before you argue with someone, ask yourself, is that person even mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective. Because if not, there’s absolutely no point.

Not every argument is worth your energy. Sometimes, no matter how clearly you express yourself, the other person isn’t listening to understand—they’re listening to react.

They’re stuck in their own perspective, unwilling to consider another viewpoint, and engaging with them only drains you.
There’s a difference between a healthy discussion and a pointless debate.
A conversation with someone who is open-minded, who values growth and understanding, can be enlightening—even if you don’t agree. But trying to reason with someone who refuses to see beyond their own beliefs? That’s like talking to a wall. No matter how much logic or truth you present, they will twist, deflect, or dismiss your words, not because you’re wrong, but because they’re unwilling to see another side.
Maturity isn’t about who wins an argument—it’s about knowing when an argument isn’t worth having. It’s realizing that your peace is more valuable than proving a point to someone who has already decided they won’t change their mind. Not every battle needs to be fought. Not every person deserves your explanation.
Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is walk away—not because you have nothing to say, but because you recognize that some people aren’t ready to listen. And that’s not your burden to carry…✍️❤️

People who know little are usually great talkers, while men who know much say little. It is plain than an ignorant person thinks everything he does know important, and he tells it to everybody. But a well-educated man is not so ready to display his learning; he would have too much to say, and he sees that there is much more to be said, so he holds his peace.

I realized recently that excluding someone for bad behaviour is the wrong thing to do because you don’t get a chance to help them see why their behavior was bad or even have a chance to explain themselves, so neither of you learn. The people who behave badly are the very people we need to include more because they’re the ones that need the most help

My father could have been a great comedian but he didn’t believe that was possible for him, and so he made a conservative choice. Instead, he got a safe jog as an accountant and when I was 12 years old he was let go from that safe job, and our family had to do whatever we could to survive. I learned many great lessons from my father. Not the least of which was that: You can fail at what you don’t want. So you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.” ~ Jim Carrey

think about this for a minute. If a stock trader calls you to sell you stock advice that he says will make rich you have to ask yourself: why doesn’t he just buy that stock and get rich? Then he wouldn’t have to work as a salesman cold calling people. I actually said this to one of them who called me. He couldn’t answer. He knew his entire business was a scam. The truth is, if something sounds too good to be true, it is.

if someone calls you and says they’re from your phone provider and they ask for your details, give them a fake name to test them. If they confirm it’s correct it means it’s a scam. I did this recently. I told the guy my name was Albert Einstein. He bought it (I guess he’s not big on physics) until I told him my date of birth was 1879. Then he had the nerve to call me some extremely rude names! Imagine the nerve, he was angry AT ME because I wasted HIS time as a low life scammer who preys on the innocent robbing them of everything they have while laughing about it.

Persaverance is the secret to success. Whatever you dream of doing, you can do it, if you just keep going. It doesn’t matter if you fail. It doesn’t matter if you’re terrible at what you do. Everyone is terrible when they first start. But id you can just keep going, you’ll keep learning. And here’s the secret. At some point you’re going to learn something that changes everything. Something that propels you to massive success. But you’ll never discover that thing unless you keep failing thousands and thousands of times.

I choose to be kind with absolutely no expectation of reciprocation. In fact the thought of reciprocation rarely occurs to me unless someone mentions it. So why do I do it? What do I get out of it? I live in hope that perhaps one day others will see that paradise is a choice. We must choose paradise over ourselves.

with live in a strange time. Millions of people worship entertainers. They scream and cry for them. Tattoo their bodies with their images. Only later to discover those very same entertainers turn out to be criminals. We blindly worship status. We have forgotten our principles. But the good news is, we chose to be like this, and we can choose to change.

the rich pay for advanced cancer screenings that predict cancer early and treatments that prolong their lives. The masses pay for Netflix and junk food — the very things that give them cancer. Society has developed a madness when you see that it is choosing to kill people for their ignorance instead of teaching them how to live

We all have things we say we care about. But look at what we give our time to, what we chase, what we refuse to quit—that’s where the truth is. Your real values are not spoken. They’re scheduled.

There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” ~ Ernest Hemingway

Never be araid to admit you don’t know something. There’s nothing to be embarassed about. Its far more admirable to be the person who humbly asks to learn what they don’t know than to be the person who mocks someone for not knowing.

If someone you met on the internet asks you for money, never never never never never never never never never never ever give it to them, no matter how genuine they seem. If someone is asking you for money, or a favor, or any personal information, or anything else, they are trying to steal from you. And they might not stop until they’ve stolen everything. If you’re ever not sure, please ask someone. If you have no one to ask, message me and I will gladly help you. Millions of dollars are stolen every year innocent (largely elderly) people. We need to protect eachother.

Stillness is what aims the archer’s arrow. It’s the key to excellence in every domain—because calm minds make the best decisions.

~ Ryan Holiday

there’s something about illegal immigration that people are afraid to talk about. So I’m going to say it. In Europe they say there’s a migrant crisis. Why is it a crisis? Millions of illegal immigrants are travelling into Europe from the Near East and Northern Africa every year. They’re unregistered. They could be violent criminals, there’s no way to know. They believe (according to the laws of their homelands) that homosexuality should be illegal and marrying children should be legal. This is a problem because based on the current rate of immigration it’s only a matter of time before they’re the majority in several European countries. And because we live in a democracy it will be within their right to start political parties and influence laws. People don’t like to hear this because it sounds politically incorrect, it sounds racist. But this is not racism. I have very liberal values. But if you look at the numbers of people entering Europe illegally there is only one way to describe it. This is an invasion by a hostile force. It’s an intentional takeover, albeit a slow and sly one. Europeans are trying to do the right thing—to help innocent people—and their kindness is exactly what the illegal immigrants are preying on. They don’t want to assimilate. They want to take over. Europe is a wonderful place, but it’s going downhill fast. We need to stop the rapid transformation of Europe before its too late. This is the logical protection of good values and cultures that are at risk of being eliminated from history, very soon, if things continue the way they are. Good people need to have the courage to see what’s happening and talk about it openly. Don’t be afraid to share this. Don’t be scared to talk about it.

I’m more than happy to admit that everything I’ve just written is I’m wrong if people are able to prove that it is, for I seek the truth, by which no one was ever harmed. It is those who continue in their self deception and ignorance who are harmed.

Encouragement reminds us that we’re all learning. When we feel safe to learn, we grow—and growing people build better communities.

Encouragement is a way to notice the good in someone—and when we do that more often, people feel more connected. This simplest of acts shows that just one person can make the world a better place.

The habit of supporting others creates a culture of care. In that kind of culture, more people succeed—and fewer people give up. We begin to create the world we all want instead of being ashamed of the sadness we see.

Lifting up the people around you doesn’t make you weaker, it makes you a leader. Because everyone wants a leader that elevates everyone around them.

Encouragement shows people they matter. And when people feel like they matter, they’re more likely to treat others with fairness and care.

When we notice what someone is doing well, we help them notice it too. That simple awareness often leads to more good choices.

stand by what you say. Stand by what you believe in. But remember, sometimes you’ll realize you were wrong—and that’s ok. It’s ok to change your mind. No one should be crucified for saying the wrong thing from time to time because it shuts down the conversation and that’s the last thing we want. We need to keep talking so we can learn from eachother and progress together to a better world.

Find strength within you. Don’t look for it outside of yourself, in approval from others. To be strong, look for what you believe is just, fair and true and become it. Not in what you think you believe and not in what you tell people you believe — become it and embody it in everythung you do in every single day. This is where you will find real strength.

when Philip II sent a message to Sparta saying “If I invade Laconia, I shall turn you out.”, the Spartans responded with a letter containing a single word: “if”.

When we encourage someone, we help them believe that their actions make a difference. We give belief a chance to spread, and with it, more good is done.

Every time you admit you don’t know and choose to learn instead of pretend, you help create a world where humility is valued more than pride—and you make the world a better place.

if we want to transform our lives we have to stop thinking about what we can gain and start focusing all our effort on how we can become better, be better and make our world better

our lives are not a reflection of our beliefs. Our beliefs are a reflection of our lives

Every time you step back so someone else can shine, not out of obligation but genuine joy, you prove that real confidence lifts others up—and you make the world a better place.

Remember, there was a man who was so deeply hated and misunderstood that he was tortured and executed in the most terrible way. Today we know it as the story of Jesus. This should remind us that hating is never the way and that to be good people we must try to understand each other. And that being good isn’t always easy or instinctual. We must rise above

Every time you choose to be honest when a lie would be easier, you help build a a new world in which people are trustworthy. The creation of a better world–a world we all want–is our choice and our responsibility, always.

when you resist the urge to rush through the day you choose to live each moment with intention and presence you give yourself the chance to enjoy the incredible gift of life

When you choose not to react to someone who only wants to argue, you make your world more peaceful and you create space to focus your energy on what really matters

Every time you act in alignment with your values, even when it costs you something, you show that integrity is not for sale—and you make the world a better place.

Every time you choose to believe that people can change, even when it’s easier to give up on them, you help show the door to redemption is open for all—and you make the world a better place.

Every time you notice someone’s effort, no matter how small, and take a moment to acknowledge it, you help build a world where people feel seen, a world in which we are together as one team working together to create a better world

When you let go of resentment before it turns to poison, you choose freedom over bitterness—and this makes all the difference in life.

Every time you choose to take the harder path because it’s the right one, even when no one is watching, you preserve the kind of courage that holds a good civilization together—and you make the world a better place.

Every time you choose to be kind in a world that sometimes seems only to reward greed, you become a living example for good—and you make the world a better place.

Replace the habit of complaining about things you know you’ll do nothing about with one of changing the things you have the power to change, even in the smallest way. The smallest positive progress is better than any negativity.

some have the courage to go on stage and talk in front of millions fearlessly. Others have different types of courage: such as the courage of their convictions or the courage to risk their lives to help others, or the courage to choose their own path through life. There are lots different forms of courage and each are important in their own ways for their own purposes.

choose not to be the coward who sits on the sidelines whining about the way the world is. Choose to have the courage to do something about it

There are those who spend their time complaining about how hard life is and there are those who do whatever it takes, no matter how hard it is to make the lives of their dreams. It’s up to you to decide which of these people you want to be.

You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.” ~ Malcolm S. Forbes

People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do.”
~ Lewis Cass

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them become what they are capable of being” ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Every time you speak kindly about someone behind their back, you build a culture where respect lives even in absence—and you make the world a better place.

Every time you make room for someone else’s perspective without needing to defend your own, you create a world where dialogue matters more than division—and you make the world a better place.

Every time you act with principle when compromise would be more convenient, you strengthen the invisible backbone of integrity—and you make the world a better place.

you must make time for what really matters. You wake up exhausted. You rush to get the kids ready. You rush to work. You rush to get your work done. You rush to get the kids, feed them, get them ready for bed. You fall asleep. You repeat. This pattern gives you no time for your dreams or your passions. You become a robot. You must slow down. You must make a space within each day for moments of happiness. And you must make time for your own dreams.

What’s inside does not matter. As children we’re sometimes told that it’s what’s inside that counts. But this is not true. It’s what you do that matters. Because to everyone you’ll ever meet, you are what you do, not what you believe. And many people believe many good things, but their behaviors don’t reflect those beliefs. Just look in any prison to find hundreds of people who say they believe in Jesus’ teachings yet they repeatedly offend. What you believe in your mind is inconsequential. The only true expression of your beliefs are your deeds. Disregard the beliefs in your mind because they are not real. What you do is real.

the lure of hyper pro active music videos and Instagram posts that sell everything a teenager wants is destroying us. Money and fame are our new gods—the ‘stars’ their deities—and we the braindead masses worship them above all else. There is an answer though: turn it off. Stop watching. Go back to your values.

We do not allow lying in the house. You cannot say the words ‘I can’t,’ and you can’t use the word ‘hate.’ Those three words will get you in big trouble in our house.”

My number one thing? Don’t overleverage yourself. Don’t say you can do something when you really can’t.” ~ Matthew McConaughey

Time is the coin of your Life.
It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent.
Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you. And when you spend it, spend it wisely so that you get the most for your expenditure.” ~ Carl Sandburg

You must rise above negativity. Everywhere you go, people will pull you down into their negativity. You must rise above it. Because the reason a person behaves negatively is because someone was unkind to them. To break the pattern of negativity we have to choose to rise above it.

“My father could have been a great comedian but he didn’t believe that that was possible for him, and so he made a conservative choice. Instead, he got a safe jog as an accountant and when I was 12 years old he was let go from that safe job, and our family had to do whatever we could to survive. I learned many great lessons from my father. Not the least of which was that: You can fail at what you don’t want. So you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.”
― Jim Carrey

You shouldn’t speak until you know what you’re talking about. That’s why I get uncomfortable with interviews. Reporters ask me what I feel China should do about Tibet. Who cares what I think China should do? I’m a fucking actor! They hand me a script. I act. I’m here for entertainment. Basically, when you whittle everything away, I’m a grown man who puts on makeup.” ~ Brad Pitt

I dream of a day where I walk down the street & hear people talk about morality, sustainability & philosophy instead of the Kardashians ~ Keanu Reeves

Life presents us with a series of challenges. We can choose to ignore them or we can choose to overcome them. The greater the challenges we overcome the greater our worlds become. The most important thing is to face every challenge

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always. That might be the only good thing in their day. ~ Robin Williams

There was this kid called Kevin. One day he was walking to class when a stranger handed him a folded piece of paper. It said, “You matter. Whatever you’re going through, don’t give up.” Kevin had been planning to end his life that evening. The note gave him enough hope to reach out for help. He later founded a nonprofit that has prevented hundreds of suicides—because someone he didn’t know chose to be the light in a world that to Kevin was only darkness. We all have this power, every single day. We can all choose to be a light in someone else’s darkness.

Encouragement helps people remember they’re not defined by what went wrong—but by what they still choose to do.

encouragement brings us together, it creates connections that might one day be vital.

when we encourage each other we become a team instead of opponents or worse, enemies. And that’s something the world desperately needs

Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?” ~ Rumi

Gossip dies when it hits a wise person’s ears”

One encouraging word can quiet a thousand doubts.

Be an encourager. The world has plenty of critics already” ~ Dave Willis

When you waste someone’s time, you take a part of their life you can’t give back. Respecting time is respecting life.

We’re all imperfect. Choosing not to judge helps us grow together.

Asking for advice doesn’t make you small. It shows you’re wise enough to value perspective.” ~ Adam Grant

Your time is what your life is made of. When you respect others’ time, you’re acknowledging their life is just as valuable as your own.” ~ Cal Newport

Encouraging others builds the kind of world you want to live in—one where effort is honored and progress is noticed.

Encouraging others isn’t just good for them—it reminds you of your own power to uplift, connect, and lead by example.

Encouragement often does what criticism can’t—it pulls people toward their potential instead of pushing them away from their mistakes.

The smallest amount of encouragement can shift the way someone sees their entire situation.

just because everyone does something doesn’t make it right

try to see the world for all the solutions we can make to make the world a better place rather than seeing it for all the problems that make it bad

some people focus on what they think the world owes them

I’m trying my best not to criticise others and to remember we’re all just trying to live our lives

be brave enough to be honest about what you believe is right. Not in your words, in your actions. If you believe a country should have open borders, open your home and let immigrants stay with you.

you can’t judge someone and help them at the same time. Likewise you can’t judge half the country and help them at the same time. To change anything first we have to try to understand

Slow down and take a minute to remember what really matters to you. Let your answer guide your actions

When you encourage others, you in the process are encouraged because you’re making a commitment and difference in that person’s life. Encouragement really does make a difference.” ~ Zig Ziglar

immigration is a difficult thing to talk about. You hear people who say it’s racism to control immigration and yet if you ask those same people to let an immigrant stay at their home, not a single one says yes. And if you talk to immigrants living here they’ll tell you our laws are too relaxed. After all they don’t want this country to turn out like the one they left—they left for a reason. People don’t want to talk about these things. They want to virtue signal but they’re not prepared to suffer any personal consequences. The truth is, a country is like a house you inherited. Our ancestors built a country that millions of people are desperate to migrate to. Their ancestors did not. Our ancestors paid taxes that built roads and police forces. Their ancestors did not.

Sometimes we forget how lucky we are. We live in one of the fairest, freest countries in the world. It’s legal to practice any religion; your children won’t face a hellish existence if they happen to be born gay; you don’t have to bribe police if you get stopped on a freeway; girls aren’t forced to marry total strangers who are twice their age and face life as slaves, locked in their homes, or worse. Yes there are problems, but we should remember there are people who have it far far worse. And the reason our country doesn’t have such enexplainable cruelties as these is because we and our ancestors chose not to be like that. That is worth fighting for.

look for people who think positively. People who are humble, who know they don’t have all the answers. Kind, honest people. These are the people you want to spend your time with. Because your time is your life. Choose the life you know is right for you.

You can have a positive attitude while understanding it’s not a perfect world. You do that by looking for solutions instead of focusing on problems and remembering how incredibly lucky we are compared to people living in our country only a few hundred years ago. Our ancestors made our country safer, healthier, egalitarian through their choices.

Listen with curiosity. Speak with honesty. Act with integrity. The greatest problem with communication is we don’t listen to understand. We listen to reply. When we listen with curiosity, we don’t listen with the intent to reply. We listen for what’s behind the words.” ~ Roy T. Bennett

We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, while others judge us by what we have already done ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

One of the greatest regrets in life is being what others would want you to be, rather than being yourself.

Shannon L. Alder

cleaning your shoes can give you an almost new pair of shoes for free

in life you must find someone who understands you. If you’re a difficult person to understand that might be hard! Look for people who look at the world in the same was as you

if you’re going through a hard time, or your life is stuck, or just not what you dreamed it would be like, think of the Shawshank Redemption. You can either stay where you are and spend the rest of your life complaining, or you can dig your way out and crawl through a tunnel of shit to get where you want to be. Most people are happy enough to keep complaining. They choose their prisons. A few are made of more. Which are you? Our choices become our lives.

excuses become our lives.

When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ ~ Fred Rogers

The world doesn’t need more critics. It needs more kindness.

Living with integrity means that we are not hiding parts of ourselves to fit in, nor betraying our values for approval. It’s how we become whole.”

~ Dr. Brené Brown, PhD in Social Work

Sometimes people don’t need advice. They just need to know they’re not invisible.”

~Charles Finch

Your ego wants to be told you’re right. But growth comes from hearing that you’re wrong—and being strong enough to listen anyway.

~ Ryan Holiday

Sometimes, slowing down is the most productive thing you can do. It’s where the right ideas begin.

Being thoughtful with others doesn’t take energy—it gives it back. It lifts the weight from both sides.

You’ve heard it said, many times, what can I do to make the world a better place, I am only one person. You’ve heard it said, ‘you can’t change the system’ and ‘it’s just the way it is’. But we forget: we are the system. And it is the way it is because each one of us by the billions chooses it to be this way. To change the the world we have to start by changing your own behaviour, by taking personal responsibility for everything we complain about.

Kindess has the power to transform the world. Every act of kindess makes the recipient kinder too. it brightens the world, just a bit. Likewise, when we choose to be unkind we make the world a litter darker. Each of us has the power to choose kindness, no matter how others behave, even when its not instinctive. We can choose to make the world darker, or we can choose to make it brighter. You will make this choice hundreds of times each day. Choose the world you want to live in.

I see the simple truth in a baby, in simple things. They’re finding a universe in something that’s very small, very simple, that we all take for granted. That’s much more important than what some idiot is wearing on a red carpet ~ Chris Cornell

‘most of the time’ becomes most of your life. If there are things you feel most of the time, like unhappy, stressed, tired or over worked, remember those things will become a description of your life unless you decide to change. Be careful what you allow to become ‘most of the time’.

To know what people really think, pay attention to what they do, rather than what they say.” ~ Descartes

Everyone struggles. Everyone makes mistakes. We’re all trying our just best. When we remember this

You are what you do today. Not what you say. Not what you plan. Not what you believe. What you do.

Your life Is Someone Else’s Dream. Your ordinary life might be everything someone else is praying for. A healthy body. A warm home. A second chance. Treat your life as the treasure it really is.

life is made of moments. If you’re not careful, you’ll miss all of them waiting for one big one.

~ Brianna Wiest

What you are aware of you are in control of; what you are not aware of is in control of you. And you are asleep.

~ Anthony de Mello

the problem with the youth of today is there parent always told them they were special. Which is fine when you’re a kid. The problem is, when they grow up and get a job they have to learn they’re not special or better, and they’re going to have to work hard to prove themselves because they can’t go into a job interview and say “my dad told me I’m special”. Instead of telling kids they’re special we need to tell them there are 8 billion other people just like you, competing for the same things. You have to work harder if you want to stand out.

time is the most precious thing of all. Every time you say “I’ll do it tomorrow” you don’t just lose a bit of time, you lose a little bit of life — you die a little bit. Because each day is a fraction of your life.

Imagine if business leaders put tremendous effort into helping their employees become the greatest they can be. They would fill their organisations with great people

William Bradford

Death Is a mirror. Imagine this day as your last—not with fear, but with clarity. Would you still scroll, complain, postpone? Or would you speak the truth, love, and laugh deeply? Would you set aside all your fears and live only with honesty? Let your answer be your guide.

the secret to life is to find something that makes you wake up excited to start every day. If you haven’t found it yet, keep searching

You can’t change the whole world today. But you can brighten one moment, for one person, and that’s how real change begins.”

~ Dr. Adam Grant, PhD in Organizational Psychology

Above all, stay humble because just when you think you got all the answers, is the moment when some bitter twist of fate in the universe will remind you that you very much don’t ~ Tom Hiddleston

Don’t stay in and watch TV tonight. Take a walk and see the world. Look up at the moon and the stars. Sniff the cool breeze. Listen for the soft noises of the background. The goings-on of other lives. The birds in the trees. The wind in the leaves. Breathe it in deeply. And hold it in your lungs. Know this incredible chance. This is your life. The universe will go on for trillions of years after you die. The entirety of our lives is but a solitary note sung from a lost songbird fleeting in an endless forest. Yet every single moment is a miracle.

Every day you’re given an incredible opportunity. In fact it’s the greatest opportunity of all time. And it is within your power to have it. You don’t have to move mountains or start a revolution. It’s very simple. You just have to behave in a way that makes the world a tiny bit better than it was yesterday. Just the smallest fraction. And do it in a way that compels others to join you. That’s it. That’s all you have to do. Because if everyone in the world committed to this simple habit, the world would transform rapidly. Together we’d be creating paradise. People often forget: paradise is a choice. All we have to do is choose it today.

The best way to find purpose is to stop asking what the world can give you and start asking what you can give the world. Purpose lives in contribution.”

smile at strangers when you walk by. It makes the world a better place

Happiness is like a butterfly, the more you chase it, the more it will evade you, but if you notice the other things around you, it will gently come and sit on your shoulder.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Sometimes

if you have dreams there’s one thing I can tell you: if you’re not doing something today to make your dreams come true they never will. You have to start today. If you say ‘I’ll start tomorrow, or someday’ it’ll never happen. Because someday is just another word for never. This might mean you have to miss sleep. You’ll miss socialising. You might go without food some days. But at some point you have to make a decision. Do you want to postpone your dreams for the rest of your life until they slowly die, or will you make a decision today to do whatever it takes to truly make the most of the greatest gift this universe has to give: life. This is the choice you make each day that determines the rest of your life.

To feel fulfilled, give your attention to what matters most. Attention is how we assign meaning. What you water, grows.” ~ Dr. Amishi Jha, PhD in Neuroscience

The question isn’t just ‘What do I want to do?’—it’s also ‘What kind of person do I want to be?’ One brings achievement. The other brings peace.” ~ Stephen Covey

Let go of the myth that everyone else has it together. The most fulfilled people are not those without problems—but those who grow honestly through them.” ~ Dr. Susan David, PhD in Psychology

happiness is like a butterfly

  1. Masih Alinejad (Journalist and Women’s Rights Activist)

“Compulsory hijab is the main pillar of a gender apartheid system, aiming to control women’s bodies and minds. Removing it is not about cloth but dignity, freedom, and personal choice.”

  1. Marjane Satrapi (Graphic Novelist, Author of Persepolis)

“The regime had understood that one person leaving her house while asking herself, ‘Are my trousers long enough? Is my veil in place? Can my makeup be seen?’ no longer asks herself, ‘Where is my freedom of thought? Where is my freedom of speech? My life, is it livable? What’s going on in political prisons?’

The world needs you.

If you punish a child for being naughty, and reward him for being good, he will do right merely for the sake of the reward; and when he goes out into the world and finds that goodness is not always rewarded, nor wickedness always punished, he will grow into a man who only thinks about how he may get on in the world, and does right or wrong according as he finds advantage to himself ~ Immanuel Kant

every time you turn on your TV you push a dagger a little bit deeper into your dreams

Imagine if young people replaced just 20 minutes of scrolling through social media or binging Netflix with reading or studying a course every day. Imagine how it would begin to transform our country. There is a great power in cumulative learning. Change doesn’t happen overnight. But just 20 minutes of studying repeated for a thousand days is transformative. There’s no use in complaining about the direction of our country. There is use in using your time to become a better person just a little every day. A country is built on the intelligence and habits of it’s people. It’s our responsibility to make our country great. And this is the choice we make each day. Will you choose laziness, or will you take responsibility for the future of your country?

What you believe doesn’t change anything. It’s what you do that matters. And it’s only what you do that determines whether you’re good person.

You might not realize how good for you cleaning every day is. It’s a great habit. If you clean every day, it’s easy. If you leave it for a week it’s much harder. It’s a great way to get 30 minutes exercise every day, it makes you happier having a clean home and best of all, that 30 minutes you spend doing something easy on your mind, gives you time to think. It’s like medidation, exercise, planning and organisation all rolled into one daily habit.

the problem with unkindness is it’s contagious. If you see too many people being unpleasant it can make you stop caring. You think to yourself, ‘they’re only going to be unpleasant anyway, why should I even try?’ But there’s a solution to that problem. It starts with taking personal responsibility for making the world a happier place. After all that’s what everyone wants. To get there each of us has to choose kindness regardless of how anyone else behaves

Success matters more than you realize. You might think being successful is not important in order to be a good person. In fact you might look at successful people and even think that it can make you a bad person. But here’s the reality: if you want to be a truly good person, you have to fight for what’s right. And the best way to change anything in the world is to work hard to become a leader. A better leader than the ones you complain about. Things don’t change when good people decide to live in isolation, never harming anyone. Because if all good people did that the world would be organised entirely by the bad people. So if you genuinely care about the world you need to do one thing: work harder than the bad people. This is the the reality of how change happens. All else is just virtue signalling: pretending to be a good person without taking any responsibility.

It’s the little things citizens do. That’s what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees.”

~ Wangari Maathai

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you

Every time you choose to encourage someone instead of putting them down you make that person a little more confident and little more happy and you make the world a little bit brighter

Success, like happiness, cannot be pursued. It must ensue as the unintended side effect of one’s dedication to a cause greater than oneself.

~ Viktor E. Frankl

A better future isn’t made by wishes. It’s made by people who care enough to do the hard work

Don’t wait to feel ready. Wait too long and life will decide for you.

everyone has within them the intelligence, the abilities and the values to make the world a better place. All we have to do is make the decision to act

You were made for more than a normal life. Everyone in this world has the potential to be extraordinary. You just have to choose to make it happen

life flys by, but there’s an answer to this problem. The answer is to slow down and appreciate this moment. What’s the alternative? To rush through life or worse not appreciate this incredible gift you’ve been given? This miraculous chance to experience the universe. To see the stars above. It’s up to you to make every moment count.
