gratitude

This simple, unremarkable moment is a miracle. Perhaps you think isn’t? Tt ~

The more you practice gratitude, the more you notice how much there is to be thankful for

Right now, someone is dreaming of the life you’re living—don’t forget to pause and be grateful for what you already have

You’re breathing. You’re here. This simple, unremarkable moment is a miracle. Perhaps you think isn’t? Then recall a time when you thought your life was going to end and then recall the feeling when you realised you would make it. Maybe it was a car crash or a robbery. Remember how you said if you make it through you’d be a better person. You’d appreciate every second spent with your family. You wouldn’t care about the annoying things they do. In fact you’d laugh at the thought of them if only you could see them again. You’d do all the things you always said you’d do. Well, you’re here. You get to do those things. Don’t waste a single moment.

How many would trade anything for just one more day? You have that day. Live it.

Survival has a way of fading. Our comforts You get used to being okay, and the urgency dissolves. But you were almost gone once. If you could go back to that moment, to the fear, to the desperation, and tell yourself you will be fine, what would that version of you tell you now? Maybe: Don’t waste this. Don’t wait. Live like you know what almost happened.
