Think about that.
Fifty years.
Half a century.
Breathing. Eating. Working. Sleeping.
But never really living.
At some point, they stopped being curious.
Stopped taking chances.
Stopped asking what they wanted from life.
They found a routine.
They became comfortable.
And slowly, without even noticing, they stopped expecting anything extraordinary to happen.
Monday became Friday.
Friday became Monday.
Months became years.
And suddenly they were old.
You can be alive for eighty years and spend most of them waiting for something to happen.
Or you can decide to make something happen.
Which brings us to today’s lesson.
Wake up.
Don’t sleepwalk through life.
Never confuse a routine with having reason to get out of bed.
There is nothing wrong with an ordinary life.
But there is something profoundly sad about living an entire life without ever seriously asking what you want to do with it.
Without reaching your full potential.
How many years have you already lived?
How many of those years can you actually remember?
And what are you going to do with the ones you have left?
Don’t fill your life with distractions and comfort.
One day, there will be no more chances to begin.
But today you still have time.
Today, you can make a different decision.
You can take the first step.
You can do something that matters.
And perhaps that’s the greatest thing about still being alive.
It is not too late to stop merely existing.
But you have to start choosing to live.
