Never forget that this is your one and only chance to be you.
It would be a tragedy to spend it editing yourself so you can fit in.
The world does not need another imitation.
It needs you.
It needs what you can uniquely bring.
The right people will accept you for who you are.
They won’t want to change you.
They will bring out the best in you.
If you haven’t found those people yet, keep looking.
You will find there is a freedom in just being who you are.
When you stop trying to appear more intelligent, more successful, more interesting, or more acceptable for others.
And become completely at peace with the possibility that not everyone will understand.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to be the best version of yourself.
In fact that’s exactly what you should do.
The version you consider best.
Not the version you think other people would want you to be.
So be ambitious if you’re ambitious. Be curious. Be honest. Chase the things that make your heart race and your soul come alive.
Because when your life is over, nobody will care how well you played the part that other people wrote for you.
The only question that will matter is this:
Did you have the courage to become the person you were capable of becoming?
